The moon rules the night side of life and is the lesser light, the reflective light of the solar energy of God. In this reflective state, it exercises tremendous control over the tides as well as the water element. Luna the moon, the great whirling satellite that rules the night, thus partly controls man's emotional body and can easily become either his greatest enemy or best friend. For when properly harnessed (placed under his feet1) the moon's energy can help him achieve alchemical control over his emotions. (energy-in-motion = energy in motion). Let us see why this is so.
The moon reflects the astral body of the earth. When we are dealing with the moon, we are dealing with the reflected light of the sun. When the astral body is under the rule of the Christ, its power becomes infinite. When the purified energies are then amplified by the moon, which is nothing less than a great reflector, its power is multiplied in almost infinite proportion. But until the time when mass consciousness is ruled by the light of the sun instead of being ruled by the night, the moon will reflect the astral energies of the planet.
So people remain victims of their own hideous miscreations and that even to a greater extent during the cycles of the full moon. Well, the alchemist uses his purified energies as a reflector of solar energies approximately as the moon reflects the light of the sun. The waters of his mind reflect the light of day and night just as the waters of the sea reflect the golden path of both the sun and the moon. But the Christ Consciousness as a prism of purity like the "sea of glass," filters out the impurities of the moon just as it refracts the light of the sun.
All energies being God's energy, human abused energies reflected by the moon (returned to earth where they came from, in accordance with karmic law) can be freed from the energies imposed by the carnal mind through the process of transmutation. They can then be used to create more perfect works of art in the tradition of the Great Alchemist until the patterns in heaven transform the patterns on earth and the moon becomes a golden orb of translucent power
Most of you know all too well that when your emotions are disturbed by external circumstances, feelings or attitudes, there is a moment when you are still able to enforce control over your energies from within your own emotional body. If these energies are then allowed to rage on unabated, this moment of control is lost and then it is easy for people to do, think or say that which they will one day regret. In contrast, most of you are aware of the great joy and peace that has come over your souls when you have been able to do something for someone else. This happens because deep within you there is a loving desire to serve your fellow man.
