What alchemy can do for a world in decline - part 2 of 3

This desire was the impetus for the descent of the Christ, the sun of David in his role as the Messiah of old. The shepherd king, a man after God's own heart who communed with God and prepared himself for greater service as he cared for his sheep. Nowhere was the splendor of his soul more apparent than in the beauty of his meditations on the Spirit of the LORD, recorded in the book of Psalms.

One of the most expert ways the tired businessman, executive, frustrated mother or wife, the confused young man or woman can find integration and wholeness for themselves is to develop discipline to be able to direct their emotions so that they do exactly what they want. Such discipline will completely change their outlook because they will then face life with joyful expectation and not dissatisfaction. For example, if it is love for another that you would like to express, you must be careful that this love is not selfish and demands of the beloved the expectations of your own mind and heart without ever understanding the giving of love.

To love as God loves, you must first give freedom to all parts of life including yourself; and then you must place your trust in the heart of God as a nesting bird does - in the heart of goodness and grace.After all is given, you will then receive from God the most joyous, eternal gifts you could ever imagine, and some even beyond your imagination. These will come not only through the chalice of your own heart but also through the hearts of your loved ones. If you want to truly love then, you must discipline the basic emotions of selfishness, envy, jealousy, resentment, stubbornness and ingratitude.

We therefore urgently request at this point of our alchemical studies that the control of the emotions be considered, for emotions will play a very important role in the operation of the creative cloud on which we reflect and from which we work. The only way to be truly happy is by giving oneself completely to the universe and to God and at the same time being aware of-and expecting-the counter-gift of the True Self from God.

One of the greatest dangers in the religious quest is brought about when people gave themselves to God thinking that this was all they had to do. Not understanding the responsibility of free will, they then acted like foolish owls. And with no will of their own they swayed back and forth, blown on by every wind, obsessed with what we would call the law of uncertainty. "For when the trumpet gives an uncertain sound, who will prepare for battle?

Man should understand that although their surrender to God is complete, following the surrender they must wait for the fiat of attribution pronounced by the God-Presence as a reaffirmation of the blessing given by God at the birth of his offspring: 'You are my beloved Son, this day I have begotten you.' This takes place when a person has ceded control of his four lower bodies to his Christ-Self and thus allows the True Self, the Christ to obey the fiat "Take dominion over the earth!" the earth being his own footstool kingdom, the four lower bodies.

Remember, even Jesus the Christ came to the point of His anointing. The Holy Spirit descended and the voice of God renewed the age-old covenant, "This is my beloved Son in whom I am well pleased. This is the timeless fiat of creation uttered from the foundation of the world that - the soul, having promised to re-sanctify in service its vow made at inner levels to do the will of God. Therefore, when man's right to function as a son of God is restored, the moment of creativity is born because he has once again recognized the power of God's love to forgive his sins (to set aside his karma until the time he has acquired enough self-mastery to resist, face and overcome his own human creation). Now the covenant of life itself connects him to the highest goals of alchemy and that, mind you, without ever robbing him of his true identity.
