The free will of all is paramount and the right to determine if-and what teachings resonate most deeply in the mind and soul. As an organization, The Summit Lighthouse is determined to spread and propagate the message of spiritual universality worldwide to all who desire it. Its central message is awakening to the inner light-a positive message of world transformation and renewal-and a return to the one God.

The paradigm concerning free will and God's will is better understood by taking as a starting point that God created humans "in his image" (Genesis 1:26). But to become divine (the I AM Presence), free will must correspond to God's will. For each individual, the synthesis of free will with God's intention, accompanied by corresponding action, brings with it a specific path that draws him closer to the I AM Presence.

The ancient book encourages us to "choose life by listening to God's voice" or by obeying his commandments. That exhortation would be meaningless, cruel even, if we did not have free will. Instead of forcing us to do what he says, God says kindly, "If you would only truly heed my commandments! Then your peace would become like a river" (Isaiah 48:18). Saint Germain, the exponent of freedom, argues that free will does not lead to actual "freedom" that every human being desires when used contrary to God's intention.

With many things in life, if we want something to succeed, we have to work for it. Mastery comes with consistent and sustained effort. "Everything thy hand finds to do, do it with thy strength" (Ecclesiastes 9:10) just as "the plans of the diligent truly lead to advantage" (Proverbs 21:5). Matthew (22:37) very aptly described the synthesis of God's will with free will as a precious gift from God, for it allows us to love him with "all our heart" - because we want to.
