The difference between sympathy and compassion

The ascended masters have talked about the difference between sympathy and compassion. We know the difference by vibration. Sympathy is a downward spiral that can lead to a lowering of your energy or your vibration. It often forms that what is known as a "barb of sympathy," which is a psychological barb, or a hook of sympathy, that catches you at the solar plexus level. This forms a connection that you, then, must break, in order not to be reeled in like a fish on the hook. You must recognize when you are being hooked. Often your best friend can probably tell you that it is happening, if you ask and are willing to listen.

Sympathy for the fallen and Luciferians can lead us to want to help them because we feel sorry for them. 'Come live with us. Come help us,' or 'Let us live with you. Let us be with you.' And, moved by pity, we think to ourselves, "Poor souls, we will help them. This is not to say that we do not help others who are in need. But we must be careful in our relationships and determine whether sympathy or compassion is involved.

Sympathy can be a deadly vibration. This is especially true when we have sympathy for the fallen one who prefers darkness, and has no repentance. When they are in this state, says the messenger, that is not the right time to have sympathy for them, because by your sympathy you simply put your light and energy into that matrix, and it strengthens the matrix. It then creates karma for you, because your energy is now going to this negative matrix.

We need to know and recognize the difference between sympathy and compassion. One is a downward spiral, and the other is upward. Learn to see human sympathy for what it is and know when it is at work in your life. When you are dealing with a situation that is difficult, ask yourself, "What is the highest good here for all involved? Then act as your heart tells you.

Don't get caught by the psychological barb. Don't get attached when people promise you things. And watch out for gifts with conditions attached.
