When we express the authority that God has given us by invoking the help of angels, legions can come to our aid to influence all kinds of issues, including war, famine and disease. And we can assign angels to carry out special projects for our family, our school, our community, our country. We can ask them to guide our children on inner levels, to help us develop meaningful relationships with people in our workplace, to prepare meetings successfully. We can invoke angels to help us in everything - from the seemingly banal to the spiritual.
A powerful push
A woman sent me this story about how Archangel Michael had helped her on a cold winter day. She was visiting her parents in New England. It had just snowed and their van was stuck in the driveway. Her father tried to shake it back and forth, but the van got stuck in the snow. Then he pushed, with her behind the wheel. Then they both pushed. Still no change. The more they pushed, the deeper the van got stuck.
After about half an hour, this woman, who is only 1.60 meters tall, convinced her father to get back in the van and start shaking again, while she herself started pushing. Then she made an intense invocation to Archangel Michael: “Archangel Michael, place your Presence over me and push this chariot!". (That's how you give a command to the angels. They expect you to speak with the authority of your Higher Self.) In less than a minute, the van was out of the wagon track and on the road.
The woman's father was bewildered. How could his little daughter have pushed that big wagon by herself? She says, "I told him it wasn't me. It was Archangel Michael! He looked at me in astonishment for a few seconds and then, silently, went back into the van."
Michael brings courage
Our prayers addressed specifically to Archangel Michael can have tremendous power. When you feel helpless in handling opposition, intimidated by others who seem overwhelming, defenseless in the face of danger, cry out to Archangel Michael. Watch him rush to your aid, as he did for Heline.
My husband was an alcoholic, a heavy drinker. He didn't like that I was on a spiritual path and he got physical about it. I was really scared, but I wasn't going to give up.
Then one morning I saw a blue light - it was a beautiful aquamarine color. I could feel this wonderful light, and I knew it was Archangel Michael. And he said to me, "You don't have to be afraid anymore." I stood up for myself, and the fear went away. After that, things went well with my husband. I stayed with him for twenty-nine years, until he passed away.
