Have you ever wondered the following? (1) Why are some people born blind or crippled and others are among the geniuses? (2) Why do I seem to like people at first and not like other persons at all? (3) Why do I end up in the same unpleasant situations every time? (4) How is it possible that I was born into a family with which I have no connection at all? (5) Why do some people die as children and others only when they are very old? Well, you are not the only one who wonders this.
The hidden truth behind so many questions lies in the following answer: what you send out also comes back to you. This understanding of karma is passed down by wise teachers from the East and West. Although the word "karma" is very well known today, not everyone understands what it really means, or how to deal with it. Karma tells us that what happens to us in the present is a consequence of causes we ourselves set in motion in the past-whether ten minutes ago or ten lifetimes ago.
We all grew up with karma. We just didn't call it that. Instead, we called it cause and effect, or gave it a biblical translation of "as you sow, so shall you reap," or "with every action there is an equal and opposite reaction," by way of an academic teacher. In essence, karma tells us that what we do comes back in a circle to the threshold of our front door - somewhere enn at some point. Karma is our greatest teacher that allows us to learn from our mistakes. Because the law of karma returns whatever we have sent out in thoughts, words, or actions, we tend to blame an external reason and take it as punishment when negative karma returns to us.
Karma continues where the golden rule ends. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you - because one day it will be so done unto you. The law of karma simply says that our thoughts, words and actions - positive and negative - create a cause-and-effect chain. We will experience the consequence of any cause we set in motion. Therefore, karma is our great benefactor that returns all the good we had sent out to others.
The spiritual adept in the making, perceives the law of karma as the law of love, even when it comes to the front door as "tough love. There is no greater love than having the ability to understand the consequences of our actions - or omissions - so that the soul can grow. Karma teaches us to love, and to love at the same times that it allows us to reconcile with all our unloving thoughts, words and actions. It allows us to change our future, which creates abundant hope for all subsequent days.
The ascended masters teach the ways how we can transmute negative karma (choices, behaviors, feelings), and achieve that which we are capable of, as well as the liberation of our souls through the ritual of ascension. The ascended masters give three ways to clear or make good negative karma. These ways express God's mercy and justice:
- The first but also slowest way is by taking life as it comes. But this way can often be difficult. For example, in this life a person may marry and support the one he abandoned or betrayed in a past life. Or, he may perhaps suffer himself because of the pain he inflicted on others in the past.
- The second way of clearing negative karma is by doing good deeds, causing the scales to tip for the better. This can be done by loving service. Perhaps someone works tirelessly in a nursing home because she or he knows on a soul level (an inner feeling), that her/his karmic balance is negative.
- The third and fastest way to expiate bad karma is to make use of a special gift from the ascended masters, namely the violet flame mantras. By invoking this high-vibration spiritual energy, many negative karmic patterns can literally be dissolved, helping you to gain self-mastery and be freed from the rounds of rebirth. Some karmic patterns are softened by transmutation. Some negative karmic patterns require resolution in God's scientific way but the violet flame makes any resolution of them easier and more joyful.
