Elizabeth Clare Prophet tells us about the ancient science of Invocation that is also known as the science of the Spoken Word and was practiced on Atlantis and Lemuria.

More than twelve thousand years ago, priests and priestesses did the invocation to the flame of Life on these lost continents by applying the science of the Spoken Word.

This science that has since been practiced for many centuries by adepts in the Far East and by Western mystics, explains the use of the voice in conjunction with the throat chakra in giving mantras, chants, prayers, invocations, affirmations, songs of joy and praise, and fiats of light to amplify the action of benign forces on the planetary body and in the world of the individual human being.

One of the most important and vital techniques of self-mastery taught by the Brotherhood is the science of Invocation, including the art of decreeing.

By applying this method of expanding consciousness, you can bring yourself into closer proximity to the flame of Life that is within your being, and ultimately experience the baptism of the sacred fire." The word "invoke" comes from the Latin "invocare" meaning "to invoke.

We further invoke the mighty I AM Presence, the Elohim, the archangels, the ascended masters and other beings of light. And we work to "guard the flame of Life on behalf of humanity that is still unenlightened and unawakened. "The invocation area the answer!" says El Morya, mahatma of the Himavat, and the chohan of the First Ray.

So we practice the science of Invocation through invocations, fiats, decrees, invocations, mantras, I AM affirmations, chants, musical meditations and more.

Creation

"In the beginning was the word and the word with God, and the word was God" and God spoke, let there be light, and there was light." (John 1:1; Genesis 1:3) The word became flesh or the incarnate word, the Christos. Christ or the Christ-Self or Higher Self is the true light that illuminates every person who comes into the world.

Sound precedes the creation of light. The throat chakra has a creative function. By affirming God's name as I AM WHO I AM as revealed to Moses, we are effectively saying, "I AM below who I AM above." God is pulled down directly when applying decrees': I AM pleased means GOD IN ME is pleased. We all have a name in God, the I AM Presence, and we recognize that "words make or break. Because of the inference, God's word is also called the Spoken Word because God or the I AM Presence has also spoken.

With affirmation, acts of creation are accomplished and light is released. Light is consciousness. Consciousness consists of the intelligence of electrons and the atomic nucleus. The throat chakra can command electrons to carry out God's will. Electrons possess the cosmic transcendent intelligence to create universes and govern outer realities.

Applying the Spoken Word is also called decreeing. They are decrees. By decreeing on behalf of the I AM Presence, the heavenly hosts and one's own I AM Presence can be requested to ratify God's will, bring personal healing, provide solutions to world problems or authorize the heavenly hierarchy to act. Decrees are more powerful when repeated. For by a constant supply of light through sound, a more powerful cosmic effect is created.
