God as Mother

Mother "Divine Mother," "Universal Mother" and "Cosmic Virgin" are different terms for the feminine polarity of the Godhead, the manifestation of God as Mother.
Matter is the feminine polarity of Spirit, and the term is used as a synonym of Mater (Latin, "mother").
In this context, the entire material cosmos becomes the womb of creation into which Spirit projects the energies of life. Matter is thus the womb of the Cosmic Virgin, which, as the other half of the Divine Wholeness, also exists in Spirit as the spiritual polarity of God.
Jesus himself recognized Alpha and Omega as the highest representatives of the Father-Mother God and often spoke of Alpha as Father and Omega as Mother.
Those who assume the feminine polarity of consciousness after ascension are known as Ascended Lady Masters. Along with all female (feminine polarized) beings in the octaves of light, they hold the focus of the Divine Mother's flame for the evolutions of humanity evolving in many systems of worlds. However, since they are androgynous, each of the celestial beings focuses as needed each of the masculine and feminine attributes of Deity, for they are in the realms of Divine Wholeness.

Below are questions posed to: Elizabeth Clare Prophet on God as Mother. From:' Inner Perspectives,

What is meant by the Motherhood of God?
For as long as I can remember, I had a feeling that God was both my father and my mother. From the time I was a small child, I had the feeling of being comfortable in the arms of my Father-Mother God. As I grew older, I began to study the religions of the East, and I became aware that Hindus have spoken of the World Mother for centuries. I remember the first day I heard the term World Mother. I got an idea that our earth was surrounded by a presence that could be described as Mother, as a world consciousness and as a world energy.
Since I was not raised Catholic, I did not have the understanding of the worship of Mary, and so I looked for this in later years. And I saw clearly that Mary, as the Mother of Jesus, had realized something very special from God as Mother. And I thought, she must have had a unique attunement with God as Mother, because her idea of Mother enabled her to bring forth the Christ. One day I looked at her name, and it was no longer "Mary," "Mary," but it was suddenly there as "Ma-ray" - the ray (English: ray) of the Mother.
I saw Mary as the instrument of God as Mother, and I began to meditate on that Mother Energy. I began to realize that the Mother Energy is really a flame. The Hindus call it the Kundalini, or the Goddess Kundalini, which they describe as the energy contained within the base chakra. They see it as the feminine principle, a feminine energy. I began to wonder how this energy could be unlocked, and I thought to myself that this energy must really be in polarity with God as Father.
I remember hearing about the concept of Mary as the bride of the Holy Spirit. Then I thought about the Trinity of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit, and I realized that Mother is the aspect of God that unlocks the energies of the Father, and that the reverse is also true - that the presence of the Father brings us into the energy of the Mother.
Thus, it occurred to me that if I meditated on God as the masculine principle, that this masculine principle reinforced in my life would attract the feminine, and that if I meditated on the feminine, that the presence of the feminine principle would augment the masculine.

I began to meditate on the concept of the Tao and on the concept of T'ai Chi - that all things exist in the circle of energy of the plus and the minus, the Alpha, the Omega. I saw this energy as God-present in all of us. I felt the wholeness of the presence of the Father-Mother God.
As I studied the world's religions, I realized that the teachings of God have been given to humanity in stages, in cycles. For two thousand years we gained the understanding of God as the Son, and we came to understand God through the person Jesus. Before that, Moses revealed God as Father, as the Lawgiver, as the very personal representative of the Law.
And in this two thousand year period just beginning, we are discovering a tremendous awakening of the energies of the Holy Spirit. People are calling on the name of the LORD, and they are asking God to fill them with that Holy Spirit. This indicates a completion of the Trinity realized in the consciousness of humanity for several thousand years.
Meanwhile in the East, was the meditation on that Trinity on Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, through the many different incarnations of God, bringing us all to the climax of realization in the Aquarian Age - which is destined to be the age of the rising of the feminine principle - of God as Mother. We see this reflected in social movements and social upheaval. We see women demanding rights. We see the feminist movement. We see women around the world beginning to get what is rightfully theirs, after thousands of years of not realizing their true identity, in a world dominated by the male jet.
I began to realize that our devotion to God as Mother will create the balance in the individual and in our civilization necessary for the alchemy of self-transformation. Through all this wondering and meditating on God and this discovery, I decided that my vocation should be expanded to increase the flame of God as Mother so that everyone on earth could do the same, so that the woman can realize her role and so that the man can realize his role in the perfect balance of divine unity.

What role does the Mother play in man? And what is the divine Femininity?
That is an important question. We all have within us that point of divinity, the triple flame in the heart. We know that the triple flame is the point of realization of the masculine elements of the Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit. Well, each of us has a feminine point of contact, and that point of contact is the soul, the soul potential of being.
What is the soul? The soul is that substance of identity that originated from Spirit, or from the I AM THAT I AM. So the soul is the negative polarity, and Spirit is the positive polarity of God. The soul is our opportunity to realize God. However, we read in Ezekiel, "The soul that sins shall die. But the Bhagavad-Gita says, "Never was the Spirit born, the Spirit will never cease to exist.
The permanent atom of being is Spirit. And the non-permanent atom of self, the soul, can become permanent by reuniting with that Self that is Spirit. So the soul is our consciousness here on earth, evolving in time and space. The soul in the man and the woman represents the feminine principle. And the Spirit, or the I AM Presence, of which we speak, is always the male principle.

So everyone is both male and female at the same time?
We are all masculine and feminine in potential. And whether we are male or female in this incarnation, the purpose of life is to balance these forces. And when we balance these forces within ourselves, we are able to become one with the cosmos, one with the whole.

It sounds like you are talking about a "holy family. Is it possible to have a sacred family within ourselves?
When you bring the masculine and feminine forces together, when you have the balance of the Spirit of the living God, and the soul in union with that Spirit, the fruit of the union is the birth of Christ consciousness.

These days there seems to be a lot of attacks on the family. How would you explain that in light of what you just said?
It is interesting to think about this in relation to Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. Alpha and Omega is simply a synonym for the Father-Mother God, the male-female polarity of the cosmos.
We discover that this whole is the source of harmony, joy, bliss, cosmic awareness and happiness. When we are outside this wholeness, we find depression, deterioration, darkness, death, disease. Wholeness is the key to the joy of life. And the fulfillment of this wholeness becomes the quest of the soul.
We seek that wholeness in the perfect union with someone outside ourselves with whom we can share our lives. Inner wholeness was created to be reflected in the outer manifestation of the love we find on earth between man and woman.
So the marriage of husband and wife is intended to bring forth, as the fruit of that union, the Christ consciousness in offspring. The Holy Family, as portrayed by Jesus, Mary and Joseph, is the manifestation of the Trinity and the Mother, and the various members of the family play these roles.
Family life is therefore the foundation, not only of the Piscean Age, but of the Aquarian Age. And the destruction of the family is the attack against the twin souls of Gemini, against the wholeness of the Father-Mother God. If this force field of our consciousness can be destroyed, if we allow the destructive forces of our civilization to destroy this trust and encounter, we will be robbed of the most magnificent exchange of life - entering and coming out of the Presence of the LORD through daily union with the Inner Self and with our loved ones.
And so we must protect the family, and we must realize that the family becomes a crucible for testing our souls on the path of initiation.

Does this mean that one cannot find wholeness outside the family?
No, it means that one may choose to find wholeness within himself through the polarity of Alpha and Omega that God has placed in his being, or one may choose to find that wholeness in the love experience of husband and wife sharing the same creative purpose in life.

How would you relate these issues to the dilemma of young people today, in deciding how to live their lives with regard to love and family and so on?
I think everyone should realize that in addition to creating the soul and Spirit as points of identity, God has given to each of us a twin soul, a counterpart. Twin souls have existed right from the beginning, and so this divine polarity is always present. Each of us can know that somewhere in the cosmos is the other half of our whole, which uniquely represents the Father-Mother God.
So all of life is a series of initiations through which we walk the Path with Christ and Buddha to return to the wholeness that we share with someone, somewhere - our twin soul. In the meantime, as we balance our karma and move through the cycles of life, we may marry, we may have relationships that are beautiful and fulfilling, but they are not the ultimate relationship. So, God established marriage as the matrix to work from this polarity of being.
I would like to impart to young people that it is important to realize that bringing forth the Christ consciousness, whether in children, whether in creative work, in a career or in something that becomes the devotion of your life, is the purpose of this energy given to us, this creative life force - this most sacred fire.
