Divine spirit, herald, forerunner; messenger sent by God to show his Word To proclaim to his children. Serving spirits sent out to the heirs of Christ serve - reassure, protect, guide, strengthen, teach, counsel and warn. Shears of Light employed by the Christians, the sons and daughters of God, throughout the cosmos.
An 'angle' (English for 'corner') of God's consciousness - an aspect of his Self-consciousness; a being formed by God out of his own flaming Presence to minister his Life in the form. "And of the angels he says, 'Who makes his angels spirits and his servants a flame of fire.' The angelic hosts constitute an evolution apart from humanity by their flaming individuality and their purity of devotion to the Godhead and to the Archangels and hierarchs under whose command they serve.
Their function is to concentrate, accelerate, and multiply the attributes of God for the benefit of His creation. They minister to the needs of humanity through Light to their auras to magnetize, with which they strengthen feelings of hope, confidence, and love, honor, integrity, courage, truth and freedom, grace and justice, and every aspect of the crystal clarity of the Spirit of God.
Because of the bliss of their unseen presence, the author of Hebrews said, "Do not forget hospitality, for by this some have sheltered angels without knowing it"-and by saying this, he makes the case that angels do take on bodies and move among us as our best friends and helpers, even when they are total strangers.
Metaphorically speaking, angels are electrons revolving around the Sun Presence that is God - electrons that have chosen, by His will naturally present in them, to expand His consciousness in every plane of existence. Angels are electrons that have been "charged" with the light/energy/consciousness of the Great Central Sun to be electrodes, that is, pillars of God's fiery presence, acting as "lowering transformers" of the ineffable Light, so that His children may receive some hope of the glory that has come in the midst of the dark night of their karmic conditions on earth.
Angels can take human form, or that of "rods" and "cones" or spirals and coils of concentrated energy, which can be released for personal and planetary healing in response to the invocation of the Christianized as a literal transfusion of the Body and Blood of the Cosmic Christ anywhere, anytime when there is a need.
There are angels of healing, protection, love, comfort and compassion, angels who serve the cycles of birth and death, angels of the All-Seeing Eye of God who wield the flaming sword of Truth to separate the True from the Untrue. There are types and orders of angels who perform specific services in the cosmic hierarchy, such as seraphim and cherubim, and angelic vivas who serve the nature spirits and the elementals of fire, air, water, and earth.
