Mark Prophet spoke about the strategies of darkness at a meeting with his staff on Jan. 14, 1973, exactly one month before he made his ascension. Apparently, this subject was at the forefront of our beloved messenger's consciousness before he departed for higher realms.
Mark told the staff that he had begun work on a book titled Strategies of darkness. He did not finish the book, and the assignment passed to the Mother of the Flame, Elizabeth Clare Prophet. Mark also said that there would be many more Keepers of the Flame classes, even numbering in the hundreds. The subject of many of these classes was to be the strategies of darkness.
In 1975, Mother Mary said:
We who know the strategies of darkness wanted to provide them to our brothers and sisters below. But the messenger who offered to write the book Strategies of Darkness took his leave in the summer of life, leaving only the beloved Elizabeth to write oh-so-many books on the Law, waiting on the shelves of the libraries of our retreat quarters for the translator, the one who holds the key to decode the Word of Spirit into the Word of Mater.(4)
The key to deciphering the code, Blessed Mother explained, was in the messenger's aura.
>Elizabeth Clare Prophet did not write this book in the outward, as far as we know. But she did tell the staff that this teaching is contained in all the lectures and dictations she has given. If you listen carefully, you will hear these strategies described one by one in the Brotherhood's ongoing publications over these forty years.
The strategies of darkness that caused the collapse of the golden ages of Lemuria and Atlantis still work so well that the rulers of darkness did not need to develop new ones. If light is to achieve complete victory over darkness, we must understand these strategies and be ready with the strategies of light when we encounter them in our daily lives.
