The mission is described using the triple flame: (1) The blue flame represents the one-to-one relationship of the soul with God recover, (2) the yellow flame represents the Teachings of the Ascended Masters spread and (3) the pink flame represents the souls of planet Earth liberating.

The teachings were passed on to the messengers Mark L. Prophet and Elizabeth Clare Prophet. In collaboration with Mark L. Prophet, the ascended master El Morya The Summit Lighthouse founded in Washington D.C. in 1958. In 1975, it was Church Universal and Triumphant founded and has been a worldwide source of Teachings of the Ascended Masters ever since. The ascended masters' mission is to bring Earth and humanity into the golden age. They do this by releasing the very highest universal teachings. A dispensation from the Karmic Council allowed him to function among men to bring humanity to the golden age and establish his promised land. Because of his sponsorship the United States are destined to bring humanity to the highest ideal of freedom and Christ Consciousness. The Summit Lighthouse supports the United States and the office of President of the United States because this country, founded largely through the help of Saint Germain, has the cosmic responsibility to bring all other nations to Christ Consciousness.
