The ascension - Unity with God
Ascension is the ritual by which the soul reunites with the Spirit of the living God, the I AM Presence, through the acceleration by the sacred fire at the natural end of one's last life on earth. It is the process by which the soul merges first with the Christ Consciousness and then with the living Presence of the I AM WHO I AM, having balanced its karma and fulfilled its divine plan. Once ascension takes place, the soul - the impermanent aspect of being - becomes the imperishable, a permanent atom in the body of God, free from the round of karma and rebirth.
In reality, man is a flaming spirit that has descended in physical form to face the conditions and trials of daily life and control his own lower self. When he has successfully overcome the human will, human ego and human intellect and replaced them with their divine components, he can again ascend to the heart of the Father-ruler of time and space.
The ascension is a gift from God. It is given to us more by His grace than by our works, although both are necessary.
Membership in a specific church does not by itself guarantee our ascension. Devotees of all races and religions have received the gift of ascension if certain requirements are met.
The ascension flame is a flame of hope. We have hope because we have within us the divine memory of the ascension of Jesus the Christ. Our souls remember that Mary, the Mother of Jesus, and others unknown and unsung also followed in the footsteps of Jesus as the true heroes and heroines of the world.
Jesus' ascension is the matrix of every other soul's ascension. His life was meant to be an example for us, and it is meant for us to ascend like him. The mysteries of God's creation are many, and Jesus revealed for us one of the greatest mysteries of life.
Ascension is God's desire for everyone, and so the whole of Heaven - Ascended Masters and Archangels - stands ready to assist the man, woman or child who wishes to express his or her true identity as a son or daughter of God. All life should welcome the opportunity we have been given to follow in the Master's footsteps. Jesus was a pathfinder, one of many.
Ascension Flame
The ascension flame is intense fiery white with a crystal glow. The Easter Lily is the symbol of the flame and its focus in the natural realm. The white diamond is the focal point in the mineral realm.
Music of the Ascension
The melody of the flame is the Triumphal March from Giuseppe Verdi's Aïda, and the keynote of the retreat is Liebesträume by Franz Liszt. The melody of Celeste Aïda contains the keynote of Serapis Bey himself.
