When you mention the name of god "I am who I am" in your decrees, you gain access to his unlimited power
When God addressed Moses from the burning bush, He made known both His name I AM THAT I AM and the true nature of man. The Book of Exodus tells us that the bramble: "was on fire but the bush was not consumed." (5) The bramble symbolizes you and the fire symbolizes your divine spark. This spark is a spiritual flame of God's fire burning within you yet not consuming you, just as the bramble was not consumed.
The true nature of man, about which God spoke to Moses, is that which is known as the I AM Presence. It is called the "I AM Presence" because it refers to God's name "I AM WHO I AM."
The "I AM Presence" is the individualized Presence of God that He gave to you when He created you. (Generally speaking, you can consider your "I AM Presence" along with your "Holy Christ-Self" (6) as your Higher Self).During the incident of the burning bush, God gave instructions to Moses to tell the children of Israel that His name is I AM WHO I AM and "this is my name forever and this is my sign to all generations."
The Jerusalem Bible translates this phrase as "This is my name forever and so I want to be called upon from generation to generation." (7) Thus you see that God Himself gave us the authority to use His name and call upon Him. Jesus used God's name when he gave the I AM declarations in the Gospel of John, such as "I AM the resurrection and the life." (8) We can also use these affirmations and make them our own. When you say "I AM WHO I AM," you are simply saying, "I, myself, am the I AM Presence of God who is above me, here where I stand."
Every time you say "I AM" you are actually saying "God in me is...," and thus you are drawing to yourself what follows that sentence. For example, when you say "I AM enlightenment" you mean to say that the God within you is drawing more enlightenment* to you. "I AM" is more than a holy name. It is an empowerment. It is a formula that, if given with love, releases the authority of God and His energy to create. When you use it, it does not mean that you make yourself a god, separate from the great God. But you are thereby validating your oneness with God.
You state, "God in me gives this prayer. God's energy flows through me and obeys the command I have given in His name. And God fulfills His law through the power of the spoken Word".Now you know why there are many decrees and fiats that use the name of God, I AM WHO I AM.
